An Oklahoma man is set to appear on the upcoming season of "Outrageous Pumpkins" on Food Network.

Daniel Miller, a resident of Stonewall, Oklahoma, will compete on the new season of the network's pumpkin carving competition, which premieres at 9 p.m. this Sunday.

Miller, previously of Wilson, Oklahoma, will join seven other elite pumpkin carvers to battle it out for a $25,000 prize, the title of Outrageous Pumpkins Champion and, a coveted prize belt.

A full-time electrical foreman, carving is the creative outlet for the fourth-generation artist, which he began by working with wood. Miller turned to carving pumpkins almost nine years ago, but says he’s been carving them "well" for two years. Miller said he likes Halloween because it provides a chance to flex his weird side without anyone raising an eyebrow. A win would be validation for Miller and a possible push to pursue art full-time and a chance to start his own pumpkin patch.

Miller's knack for creating expressions and intricate details mean his pumpkins are recognizable for being large, impeccably detailed, and full of character and emotion.

With challenges including jack-o'-lanterns, 3-D carvings, structures and Atlantic Giants — a popular variety of pumpkin that can grow to over 500 pounds — the show will demand bigger and more outrageous results from competitors.

Celebrity Chef Damaris Phillips hosts the show, alongside judges Terri Hardin and Ralph Attanasia, and the three will serve as mentors guiding contestants on their journey to carve the best creations of their lives.
