Oklahoma school closings: Moore, Shawnee cancel classes Wednesday; others virtual
Several area school districts and colleges have canceled in-person classes for Wednesday after much of the state saw several inches of snow on Tuesday.
Snow continued to fall across the state late Tuesday. Some areas in western Oklahoma received 6-8 inches of snow. While most of Oklahoma City only saw 1-2 inches of snow as of Tuesday afternoon, some areas south and east of Oklahoma City saw up to 4 inches.
5:15pm - Snow is ongoing across wide portions of western north Texas, as well as southern and central Oklahoma. Most areas have fully switched to snow, with isolated areas of rain/snow mix being reported. Heaviest snow is currently expected in south central OK.#okwx #texomawx pic.twitter.com/SViiN7tVdb
