Since losing his job to freshman Caleb Williams in the Texas game, Rattler, who came into the college football season as a Heisman Trophy candidate, was speculated as leaving Oklahoma after the season.

Mike Giovando, Rattler's personal quarterback coach since he was in the sixth grade, called Rattler's imminent transfer a "no-brainer."

Rattler is hopeful to enroll at a new school in January and will vet every opportunity that comes his way between now and then.

"Thank you again, Oklahoma. I will miss you," Rattler ended his Twitter announcement.
