This Oklahoma spot was named one of Yelp’s top 15 best mom-and-pop restaurants in the US

An Oklahoma mom-and-pop restaurant is getting national attention as it landed in the top 10 best independent, local spots.

Recently, Entrepreneur and Yelp partnered to find the top 15 mom-and-pop restaurants in the U.S. from among 150 favorites.

Anton’s Craft Kitchen, 2610 Memorial Road in Oklahoma City, was ranked number 6. The family-owned operation is a new addition to the Oklahoma City restaurant scene, but diners compliment its laid-back atmosphere and fresh-to-order meals.

Patrons enjoy Mediterranean-inspired dishes like eggplant dip, shrimp maisa and homemade piano cake.

Entrepreneur's description of Anton's highlights the fact that visitors will likely see Anton himself serving as chef.

Topping the list is ITs Izakaya, a Japanese tapas restaurant located in Las Vegas. Among the restaurant’s most popular dishes are its takoyaki and yellowtail carpaccio.

To formulate the list, Yelp ranked independently owned and operated businesses with no more than 4 locations based on volume and ratings of reviews. Businesses needed to be marked as “open” on Yelp as of May 15 and have a passing health score as of that same date, Yelp explains.

In addition to restaurants, Yelp and Entrepreneur identified independently owned businesses in nine other categories, including home services and hotels/bed and breakfasts.
