Oklahoma State investigates after dead Longhorn found at fraternity house

No. 7 Texas and No. 18 Oklahoma State will play on Saturday in the Big 12 championship game in Arlington, but ahead of the game Oklahoma State and Stillwater are initiating a possibly related off-campus incident.

The incident took place on the lawn of the FarmHouse Fraternity house located near Oklahoma State’s campus where a dead Longhorn was found.

Oklahoma State released a statement on X, formerly Twitter, condemning the act.

“OSU is appalled at the disturbing display of animal cruelty that occurred overnight at an off-campus location near a fraternity house,” Oklahoma State said in a statement. “The Stillwater PD is investigating the incident, and the university’s Office of Student Support and Conduct has initiated an investigation. Oklahoma State expects all students to adhere to university codes of conduct, and appropriate action will be taken based on the outcome of the investigation.”

Police told KFOR news in Oklahoma City that the animal had “expletive FH” written on the carcass. The police also said the animal was seemingly killed in the last 24 hours and dumped on the lawn by a truck or trailer.

According to reports, the investigation is still in its early stages.
