Oklahoma State men's basketball vs. UConn: How to watch, TV channel, livestream, radio

Now comes the biggest test to date.

Oklahoma State is riding a three-game winning streak, but now it heads to face a top-10 opponent on the road.

The Cowboys (5-2) travel to No. 8-ranked UConn (8-0) at 5:30 p.m. Thursday night in the annual Big 12/Big East Battle.

It’s a big early test for OSU.

“They got all the ingredients you need to be a national championship contender,” OSU coach Mike Boynton said. “As we look at our non-conference schedule, it’s all about preparing ourselves for Big 12 play, which if anybody’s paid any attention the first three weeks. it’s going to be a gauntlet again.

“And so a team like this will be really, really good for us to see where we are.”

Three things to know about OSU vs. UConn

OSU star center Moussa Cisse is tied atop the Big 12 alongside Kansas’ Jalen Wilson with four double-doubles in just seven games to begin the season. The rest of the Big 12 has eight combined double-doubles. Cisse is averaging a double-double with 10 points and 10.6 rebounds per game. He also leads the conference with 25 blocks, 14 ahead of Texas Tech’s Daniel Batcho.

• UConn star Adama Sanogo was recruited hard by Boynton and his staff, even putting the Cowboys in his final group before choosing the Huskies. The 6-foot-9, 245-pound forward was named the Big East Preseason Player of the Year and is considered a likely NBA Draft pick after this season.

• OSU won both previous matchups against the Huskies, both coming on neutral sites. The Cowboys first won in Lafayette, Louisiana, in 1970 and then in Lahaina, Hawaii in 2016. But OSU has not beaten a ranked non-conference opponent on the road since 1958, a Bedlam victory in Norman over No. 20-ranked OU.
