Oklahoma vs. Baylor women’s basketball: How to watch, streaming, three things to know

NORMAN — OU’s women’s basketball team opens its Big 12 home schedule at 6 p.m. Tuesday night when it hosts No. 23 Baylor at 6 p.m.

The Sooners (11-1, 1-1 Big 12) carry an eight-game winning streak in the matchup. A win would tie the longest winning streak for OU in Jennie Baranczyk’s two seasons.

OU is tops in the Big 12 and No. 4 in the nation in scoring offense, averaging 88.4 points per game. Baylor is allowing just 53.8 points per game, leading the Big 12 and No. 15 nationally.

Tuesday’s game is the Sooners second against a ranked opponent this season. OU fell to then-No. 25 Utah 124-78 on Nov. 16 on the second night of a back-to-back.

Baylor (10-3, 11-1) has won back-to-back games. The Bears are 1-3 against ranked opponents this season.

Three things to know about OU vs. Baylor

• The Sooners’ Taylor Robertson is second in NCAA history with 482 career 3-pointers. Robertson is 15 away from tying the all-time record of 497 by Ohio State’s Kelsey Mitchell. After shooting “just” 35.3% from beyond the arc in the Sooners’ first 10 games, Robertson is 12 of 17 over the last two games.

• OU swept the regular-season series against Baylor last season for the first time since 2010, including an 83-77 win in Norman last Jan. 12.

• Baylor’s roster features three Oklahomans — former Classes SAS standout Darianna Littlepage-Buggs, Tulsa East Central product and OSU transfer Ja’Mee Asberry and former Harding Charter Prep standout Kendra Gillispie. Asberry and Littlepage-Buggs are regular starters while Gillispie has made one start. Littlepage-Buggs leads the Bears with 8.8 rebounds per game. She also averages 9.2 points per game — one of seven Baylor players to average at least 9.2 points. Asberry averages 10.3 points.
