Second Annual Reserve Artisan Ales Oktoberfest & 5k Run
What: The Oktoberfest kicks off this year with a 5k race around downtown Galesburg with proceeds going towards the Knox County Humane Society. Afterwards, enjoy more than 30 craft local beers, German-inspired food and live music. There will be a bags tournament, beer stein holding competition, kids craft table, coloring contest and more.
When: 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 30

Paint Crawl 2023
What: Come for a night of paint, jazz, and Van Gogh. Part paint-by-number and part pub crawl. Canvas, paints and artistic assistance will be provided throughout the evening.

Thursday Night Jazz
What: Free admission; cash bar available. The Fall Jazz Series brings you jazz voices from the region. A different guest artist will hold a workshop/conversation with the attendees at 6 p.m., with Cherry St. Combo performance afterward. Bring your dinner or order carry-out.

Latin Music and Dance Celebration
What: Kids ages 5 and up, accompanied by an adult, are invited to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. You'll hear some popular Latin American music and try out salsa, bachata and merengue dance steps together. Advance registration is required.

Backstage Jazz with Harry Tonchev Trio
What: Harry Tonchev is a jazz guitarist who is very active in Chicago and central Illinois. His high energy trio focuses on improvisational music by exploring a mixture of originals and standards from the Great American Songbook.

Agatha Christie’s A Murder is Announced
What: Put on your sleuthing caps as Prairie Players Civic Theater presents "A Murder Is Announced." Based on a 1950 short story by Agatha Christie and adapted for the stage by Leslie Darbon, the play centers around a mysterious murder announcement placed in the local newspaper. A murder is supposed to occur at Little Paddocks, the home of Miss Letitia Blacklock, who feels it is all just a joke, but when a murder actually occurs, the joke becomes a reality.
When: 7:30 p.m. Sept. 30, Oct. 6 and Oct. 7 7; 2 p.m. Oct. 1 and 8
