After cutting their teeth against the defending national champions, the Oklahoma Wesleyan University Eagles bounced past Baptist Bible, 11-10, in baseball action Tuesday.

The Eagles improved to 10-3 and 10-0 at home.

Nine different Eagles drove in a run against Baptist Bible, led by Tommy Davis with two.

Davis, and Jordyn Smith each doubled and A’Darius Council added a triple.

Council finished at 3-for-3 with three runs scored.

Carson Frazier started on the bump for OKWU, but Erick Nova picked up the win, striking out three batters during two shutout innings.

Late last week, OKWU traveled to Lakeland, Fla., to play the Southeastern University Fire — the defending NAIA World Series champions.

The Fire (13-0) won the three games, 6-5, 11-1 and 10-1.

In the final game, Jesus Rojas drove home Aaron Gerdes for OKWU’s lone run.

Next up, OKWU is set to play host this weekend to Bacone, with a single game on Friday and doubleheader on Tuesday.
