Olaf Scholz Confirmed as Next German Chancellor

Olaf Scholz was voted in as chancellor by the German parliament on December 8, succeeding Angela Merkel after her 16 years in the role.

This footage shows the president of the Bundestag, Barbel Bas, announcing the number of votes received by Scholz and asking him if he accepts the nomination.
