Old Lyme grand list creeps up

Feb. 27—OLD LYME — The town assessor said the net taxable grand list is up about half a percent amid new construction, building permits and newly approved subdivisions.

Assessor Melinda R. Kronfeld said the total 2023 grand list comes in at $1.6 billion. That's an increase of 7.7 million, or 0.48%.

Real estate values grew by $11.1 million, or 0.8%, to $1.5 billion.

Net motor vehicle assessments of $104 million decreased by $5.6 million, or 5.1%.

Net personal property assessments grew by $2.1 million, or 4.85%, to $45.2 million.

The town's top 10 taxpayers are:

1. Connecticut Light & Power: $16.7 million.

2. Old Lyme Stores Limited Partnership: $8.2 million.

3. Connecticut Water Company: $6.63 million.

4. EPW II: $6.61 million.

5. 16 Riverview Property Corp.: $3.8 million.

6. Herbert G. Chambers: $3.5 million.

7. Graybill Properties LLC: $3.49 million

8. Eastport LLC: $3.45 million.

9. Big Y Foods: $3.1 million.

10. The Nest at HNB Inc.: $3 million.
