Old Town Christmas Festival Celebrates The Spirit Of The Season

LEANDER, TX—Friends and neighbors are invited to experience the spirit of Christmas as Old Town comes alive throughout December with holiday activities to enjoy including the Old Town Rudolph Run, Christmas Marketplace, Hometown Parade, pictures with Santa, live performances, and local food and craft vendors. Old Town Christmas Festival is a wonderful opportunity for families to wind down the year and create new memories. This year's events include:

Old Town Rudolph Run

The fourth annual Rudolph Run is a 5K, chip-timed event that starts in the heart of Old Town and tours the streets of Leander. The course is flat and fast with no hills or rough terrain.

Christmas Marketplace

Shortly after the Rudolph Run, holiday vendors will be open for business in Old Town from 12:00 p.m. to 4 p.m. Enjoy children's activities, live music and theater productions, crafts, food shopping and more!

Hometown Parade and Tree Lighting

Local businesses, nonprofits, community partners and city officials come together in an evening Christmas parade through Old Town Leander with a ceremonial tree lighting to follow. This year's parade will be a reverse style parade where the public drives through downtown Leander to see our floats, Christmas tree, and holiday decorations.

Blue Santa Program

Leander Police Department, Hill Country Christmas Bureau and Leander Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association partner each year to provide Christmas gifts to those in need. During November and early December we collect new toys, bikes and other items in an effort to provide families in need with new toys from Santa Claus. Learn More Here.
