Oldest living Marine celebrates 105th birthday in Stockton

The oldest living marine had a special birthday celebration in Stockton on Friday. In February, Maj. Bill White received tens of thousands of Valentine’s Day cards after a request by his senior living community went viral. On Friday, his community threw him a party for his 105th birthday. Friends, family, fellow marines and others took part in a drive-by parade. The driveway at Maj. White’s retirement community was decked out in red, white and blue balloons, and there were socially distanced areas so residents could watch the parade. Bingo is one of Major White’s favorite games, so after the parade, the senior living community hosted “Bill’s Bingo Birthday Bash” for the residents. The games were set up in three areas with only 10 residents per area to keep everyone safe. The senior living home says Bill is believed to be the oldest living Marine yet.
