Ole Miss baseball score vs. Maryland: Live updates from Swayze Field

OXFORD — Ole Miss baseball will be looking to score a fifth-straight victory to begin the 2023 season when it welcomes No. 13 Maryland to Swayze Field this weekend for three games.

The Rebels (4-0) are off to a strong start, having scored at least 10 runs in all four of their contests. Peyton Chatagnier, Will Furniss and Kemp Alderman have each slugged two home runs for Ole Miss.

Ole Miss has also been good on the mound, but recently suffered a blow to its pitching staff with the news that ace starter Hunter Elliott would not pitch in this series due to forearm discomfort. Jack Dougherty will take his place in the rotation and start on Friday night.

Maryland (2-2) has endured an uneven start to 2023, winning a series at South Florida before dropping a midweek game to West Virginia.
