'Ole Miss' Fans Throw Trash on Basketball Court Following Loss Against Tennessee
Fans of the University of Mississippi basketball team made their feelings known on February 27 after the team’s loss to the University of Tennessee–Knoxville.
Nick Suss, of The Clarion Ledger, shared footage on Twitter of “Ole Miss” fans throwing garbage onto the basketball court in Oxford, Mississippi after the team’s narrow 73-71 loss to the Tennessee Volunteers.
“Ole Miss fans are pelting the floor with trash,” Suss tweeted.
Tennessee Volunteers player Grant Williams scored a lay-up in the last four seconds of the game, leading to a heartbreaking loss for the University of Mississippi, local media reported.
