Ole Miss football lands commitment from Jeffery Rush, four-star in-state defensive lineman
Ole Miss football and Lane Kiffin beat Mississippi State, Auburn, Florida State, Miami and others to earn the commitment of blue-chip defensive lineman Jeffery Rush, who announced his verbal pledge Saturday evening.
Rush, a four-star recruit, is rated by the 247Sports Composite as the No. 136 overall prospect in the Class of 2024. He's also the No. 17 defensive lineman and the No. 4 player in the state of Mississippi.
Out of Pascagoula High School, Rush is listed at 6-foot-3, 250 pounds.

With his commitment, Rush becomes the top prospect in Kiffin's 2024 class. The fifth player to join the fold, Rush pushed Ole Miss up to No. 16 in 247Sports' class rankings.
Rush posted eight sacks for Pascagoula in 2022, according to the school's Scorebook Live page. He's the second key Mississippi prospect to commit to the Rebels this week, following the announcement of Picayune running back Chris Davis.
