Ole Miss linebacker Mark Robinson ejected for targeting vs. Mississippi State football

Ole Miss linebacker Mark Robinson was ejected for targeting in the fourth quarter against Mississippi State on Thursday, Nov. 25.

Robinson was ejected for a hit on Mississippi State quarterback Will Rogers.

Because the targeting ejection occurred in the second half, Robinson will also miss the first half of the Ole Miss' bowl game.

Ole Miss led 24-6 at the time Robinson was ejected.

Robinson recorded eight tackles and a sack prior to his ejection.

Ole Miss, ranked No. 8 in the USA Today Sports AFCA Coaches Poll, entered the matchup 9-2 overall and 5-2 in the SEC. Most recently, Ole Miss beat Vanderbilt 31-17 on Saturday.

Mississippi State came into the contest 7-4 overall and 4-3 in the SEC. On Saturday, MS State defeated Tennessee State 55-10.

Entering Thursday, Ole Miss leads the all-time series 63-46-6 vs. Mississippi State.
