Olivia Colman looks unrecognisable in the trailer for Steven Knight's adaptation of the Charles Dickens classic Great Expectations.
Colman is playing Miss Havisham complete with wild white hair and stained teeth in the upcoming BBC drama.
The trailer shows Miss Havisham meeting Pip, the story's protagonist (Fionn Whitehead) when he arrives at Satis House to prepare to learn how to become a gentleman.
The short teaser also sees Colman say to Pip: "What a prize creature we have fished from the river."
Great Expectations is Knight's second Dickens adaptation after A Christmas Carol in 2019 with Guy Pearce as Ebenezer Scrooge.
Tom Hardy and Ridley Scott are also producers on the series.

Tom Sweet stars in Great Expectations as a young Pip while Fionn Whitehead will play an older version of the character.
The ensemble will also feature Shalom Brune-Franklin as Estella and the likes of Ashley Thomas, Hayley Squires and Johnny Harris. Matt Berry will also star as Mr Pumblechuck.
Knight has a number of projects currently in development after the release of SAS: Rogue Heroes last year. As well as the much-anticipated Peaky Blinders film, the writer is also working on a Midlands set drama called This Town about a family involved in the ska music scene.
This Town is set to star David Dawson and Michelle Dockery.
Knight is also writing A Thousand Blows for Disney+ about underground boxing in Victorian Britain. The series is set to star Stephen Graham and will follow two best friends who emigrate from Jamaica to Britain in the 1890's who become involved in the criminal underworld in London's East End.
Graham, who worked with Knight on Peaky Blinders, said in a statement: “I’m really thrilled to be working on this project with Stephen as well as the very talented production team and group of writers. I always love to delve into untold history, and this is a story that really deserves to be told."
Great Expectations does not yet have an air date.
