Chloe Lattanzi shared an emotional Instagram post in honor of her late mother.
Chloe Lattanzi, the daughter of beloved actress Olivia Newton John, is mourning the loss of her mother.
Following the news of Newton-John's death on Monday, Lattanzi, 36, took to Instagram to share some fond memories with the late Grease star.
The post featured a series of throwback photos of the mother-daughter duo, including one black-and-white photo of Lattanzi kissing her mom as a young girl and an early baby picture, as well as some more recent shots of the mama posing with her all-grown-up daughter.
While she didn't include a caption on the post, Lattanzi followed up with another Instagram post on Tuesday, this time bidding her mom goodbye with an emotional message alongside a video of the two of them singing together before Newton-John's death.
"You are my lighthouse mama. My safe place. My heart space," Lattanzi wrote under the post. "It has been my honor and continues to be my honor to be your baby and best friend."
"You are an angel on earth and everyone touched by you has been blessed. I love you forever my life giver, my teacher, my mama," she added.
Newton-John's death was first announced by her husband, John Easterling, who wrote that the actress “passed away peacefully at her Ranch in Southern California" on her official Facebook page on Monday.
The Grammy-winning singer had been battling breast cancer for years, and her niece, Totti Goldsmith revealed her death was "not a shock."
"It wasn't just the cancer that got her, it was other complications, being in a hospital and with a very susceptible immune system," Goldsmith revealed to Australia's 9 Now News, noting that Newton-John "got secondary infections" and "really went down in the past five, six days."
While stating that Newton-John "struggled with a lot of pain," Goldsmith insisted her aunt wasn't afraid of dying, as she recalled her saying, "I've done more in my life than I could have ever imagined."
Newton-John is now being fondly remembered by fans and former colleagues alike, as the hashtag, "RIP Queen" even began trending online following the news of her passing.
