Olivia Rodrigo and Taylor Swift Finally Met at the Brit Awards and the Moment is Too Cute for Words
One of the best parts about seeing Olivia Rodrigo's quick rise to stardom is watching her interact with her idol and inspiration, Taylor Swift. Ever since "Drivers License" first hit the charts, Taylor has been praising and supporting Olivia, of course causing the 18-year-old to freak out as any Swiftie would. Well, Olivia finally got to meet her hero at the 2021 Brit Awards last night and, yes, the moment was iconic.
Olivia immortalized the interaction on Instagram, sharing a black-and-white photo of her and Taylor making some silly faces together. She simply captioned the pic, "🥺🥺🥺🥺," which honestly perfectly described my reaction to seeing the post.
Before they got to meet, though, Olivia apparently sent Taylor a letter from across the room, which is pretty much a move straight out of a Taylor Swift song.

Olivia and Taylor have been flaunting their cute Internet relationship for months now. When "Drivers License" first entered the charts in January, Olivia was just happy for her song to be under two of Taylor's Evermore tracks. "Next to taylor on the us i tunes chart i’m in a puddle of tears 😭😭😭😭," she wrote on Instagram.
Taylor then commented on the Instagram, "I say that's my baby and I'm really proud," leading Olivia to freak out and film a TikTok of her reaction.
It seems like their relationship blossomed from there because, when Fearless (Taylor's Version) came out last month, Taylor enlisted her "children," Olivia and Conan Gray to debut two of the songs on TikTok.
