Olympia business offers $5,000 reward to anyone who can ID arson, burglary suspects

Olympia police have asked the public for help identifying individuals accused of separate arson and burglary crimes that occurred on June 13.

The two men allegedly broke a window and tossed a lit flare into the Hometown Property Management business at 1600 4th Ave. E. at 4:04 a.m. but they did not attempt entry, according to a police notice.

About 17 minutes later, the notice says three suspects allegedly burglarized the Lighthouse Antiques located at 2921 Pacific Ave. SE.

Both incidents were captured by surveillance video, according to the notice. The owner of Hometown Property Management offered a $5,000 reward for anyone who can positively identify the individuals for arrest and prosecution, per the notice.

Police described the persons involved in the first incident, labeled case number 22-3648, as two men. One had light skin, black shaved hair and an average build and height. He reportedly wore two-toned brown and black duck boots with white on the back heels, blue jeans and a black rain jacket.

The second man was described as white with an average build and height, per the notice. Police believe he had an “obvious large midsection.” He reportedly wore white and black tennis shoes, white or light compression tights to his mid-calves, white athletic shorts, a gray hoodie and a gray or light bucket hat.

Both men covered their faces up to their noses with their clothing, according to the notice.

In the second incident, labeled case number 22-3651, surveillance video reportedly shows three people in a silver or cream/tan 2004-2006 Subaru Outback wagon with a hitch on the back.

Police believe a driver wearing a bucket hat was the same person involved in the earlier incident. A second person with a heavier build rode in the front passenger seat, per the notice.

A third person rode in the back passenger seat. Police described him as a tall and slender light skinned man with a black jacket, dark jeans and black shoes with white on the back heels. He also had black shaved hair, according to the notice.
