Olympic gymnast and Nashville influencer Shawn Johnson East welcomes third child, Bear

Three is a charm for Shawn Johnson East.

The four-time Olympic medalist and Nashville resident has welcomed her third child, a baby boy named Barrett with the nickname "Bear." Johnson East's newest arrival was born on Dec. 12 and joins daughter Drew, 4, and son Jett, who is 2.

"We’ve all been waiting for you," she said in a Dec. 17 caption on Instagram. In the photo, the family is posed in a nursery room adorned with a letter B pendant.

The West Des Moines native and her former NFL player husband Andrew East have cultivated a sizable following, over 4 million, on Instagram with videos giving an inside look into their lives into their life in Nashville.

The couple also host a podcast called "Couple Things," where they share insights into married life and parenting.

"Seeing them meet their newest sibling was the sweetest thing EVER. They've been so gentle with the baby, and I know they're glad the wait is over, especially Drew," Johnson East told People Magazine.

The couple's youngest child was welcomed via cesarean section, according to the outlet.

After the 2008 Olympic Games, the former Valley High School attendee became a social media and reality star.

She also appeared on shows such as "Dancing with the Stars," which she appeared on twice and won once, and "Celebrity Apprentice" with pre-presidency Donald Trump.
