Omar Ameen says religion and culture were violated during FBI interrogation

The Sacramento refugee fighting to stay in the United States testified Thursday through an Arabic translator that his religion and culture were violated during an FBI interrogation. Omar Ameen was arrested in 2018 for the murder of an Iraqi police officer and was cleared of those charges earlier this year. Now Ameen is accused of lying on his refugee application to gain entry into the U.S. If Immigration Customs Enforcement can prove Ameen lied on his refugee application, he could be deported — possibly back to Iraq.
