Oh did you think you were as excited as you could possibly get for the return of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series? Well just wait until you see this teaser clip for season 4 released today by Disney.
Returning for the opening number of the fourth and final season of the hit musical series are Lucas Grabeel, Monique Coleman, Kaycee Stroh, and Corbin Bleu. In its oh-so-meta way, the cast is filming the opening number for the fictional fourth film, which also serves as the show's kick-off number.
It's joyful and fun — just as you’d expect — but about halfway through is a moment you won't want to miss. Ryan Evans (Grabeel) steps off stage for a moment where someone special is waiting for him, his love interest played by none other than Pentatonix’s Scott Hoying.
It's a sweet moment where Hoying’s character looks lovingly at Ryan and tells him, “You look amazing, this is so cool!”
Ryan replies, “This means so much to me that you are here.”
Hoying’s character tells him that he loves him and the two share a kiss. It's a sweet moment and it means that Ryan has gone from officially unlabeled, to a canonical part of the LGBTQ+ community. We love to see it.
And of course the gays were celebrating in the comments!
