As omicron surges, here's where you can get tested in Appleton, Fox Cities

With the omicron strain of COVID-19 surging through Wisconsin, testing for the virus is in high demand.

If you're looking for a COVID-19 test in Appleton and the Fox Cities, the state Department of Health services lists all of the community testing sites in Wisconsin.

Here's a list of individual testing sites:

  • The Appleton Health Department and ThedaCare are partnering to run a testing site at the former Best Buy at 2411 S. Kenzington Drive. You can make an appointment at doineedacovid19test.com.

  • ThedaCare is administering COVID-19 tests for free at numerous clinics in Appleton, Green Lake and Wautoma for those experiencing symptoms or who may have been exposed. People do not need to be a ThedaCare patient or a resident of the community to get tested. Appointments are required at doineedacovidtest.com.

  • ThedaCare-Neenah has a testing site at 169 E. North Water St. in Neenah. You can make an appointment at doineedacovid19test.com.

  • Walgreens has testing at these locations: 2803 N. Meade St., Appleton; 729 W. Northland Ave., Appleton; 1901 S. Oneida St., Appleton; 3330 E. Calumet St., Appleton; 219 W. Main St., Little Chute; 201 E. Ann St., Kaukauna; 305 E. Racine St., Menasha; 500 S. Commercial St., Neenah; and 1191 Westowne Drive, Neenah. You can make an appointment at walgreens.com.

  • CVS has testing at these locations: 700 W. Wisconsin Ave., Appleton; 1485 S. Oneida St., Appleton; 901 S. Green Bay Road, Neenah. You can make an appointment at cvs.com.

  • Meijer has drive-thru testing at 3801 N. Richmond St., Appleton. You can make an appointment at doineedacovid19test.com.

  • RxLink Pharmacy has testing at 133 E. College Ave., Appleton. You can make an appointment at rxlinkpharmacy.net.

  • The Winnebago County Health Department has a testing site at Sunnyview Expo Center, 500 E. County Y, Oshkosh. You can make an appointment through the testing location's website.

  • Some school districts are running their own testing sites for students and staff. You can check your school district's website to see if it has testing.

  • Your health care provider might offer testing at its clinics. You can check its website for details.

  • You can order an at-home test through the Department of Health Services website. You might also be able to buy an at-home test at local pharmacies and retailers, though supplies can vary.
