‘Once Again (For The Very First Time)’ Trailer Brings Out The Romance Of Street Dancing And Poetry

The Harder They Fall co-writer Boaz Yakin’s latest film, Once Again (for the very first time) is set for a world premiere as part of the Official Selection in the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival.

As seen in the trailer below, the film stars Jeroboam Bozeman and Mecca “Meccamorphosis” Verdell in a story about two artistic people–one a street dancer and the other a spoken word poet–who reflect on their relationship and the changes happening in their lives. According to the official logline:

In the film, DeRay, a legendary street dancer, falls through the sky until he lands in the hallway outside the door of Naima, a spoken word poet and the love of his life. Told through both of their eyes, “ONCE AGAIN (for the very first time)” explores key moments in their lives, both together and apart, as they try to decide if they are going to give their relationship one last chance.

The film is executive produced by Van Lathan and Nicholas Maye, who also executive produced the Academy Award-winning film Two Distant Strangers. The two serve as executive producers through their company Six Feet Over Productions. Olivier Award-winning street dancer and choreographer Rennie Harris choreographed the film from music by Beyoncé alum Marcus Norris.
