One New Coronavirus Death In Southwestern PA

PITTSBURGH, PA —There was one new coronavirus death in southwestern Pennsylvania on Thursday. The Allegheny County death toll remained steady at 173, the county health department announced.

The number of coronavirus cases in the county during the outbreak climbed to 2,065, up from 2,055 on Thursday and 2,034 on Wednesday.

Three hundred and fifty-five people people have been hospitalized in the county during the outbreak. There was one two new hospitalization on Thursday.

With 610 confirmed cases in Beaver County, 474 in Westmoreland County, 255 in Butler County and 151 in Washington County, that brings the total number of cases in the five-county
southwestern Pennsylvania region to 3,555. That's up from 3,539 on Thursday and 3,508 on Wednesday.

According to the state Department of Health, 303 people have died thus far in the five-county region: One hundred and seventy-three in Allegheny County, 75 in Beaver County, 38 in Westmoreland County, 12 in Butler County and six in Washington County. There was one new death in Beaver County Thursday.
