One in critical condition after two-vehicle crash

CHILLICOTHE – The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle serious injurycrash which occurred on Ohio 159 at the intersection of Kenworth Drive.

At 8:05 p.m.., a 2003 Dodge Durango, driven by Tyler Frazier, and passenger Devan Purnell, both of Londonderry, was traveling southbound on Ohio 159. A 2011 Subaru Forester, driven by Phillip Schaible, of Cincinnati, was traveling northbound on Ohio159. Schaible failed to yield to Frazier’s vehicle while turning left and was struck head on, according to the state patrol.

Fraizer was treated and released at the scene by Union Township EMS, while Purnell was transported to Adena Regional Medical Center by Green Township, EMS for minor injuries. Schaible was flown from the scene to Grant Medical Center in critical condition.

Green Township Fire and EMS, Union Township EMS and the Ross County Sheriff’s Office assisted on scene.This crash remains under investigation.
