One dead after head-on crash in Victor

VICTOR, NY - An 84-year-old woman died after a head-on crash in Victor on Sunday.

Deputies from the Ontario County Sheriff's Office responded to the crash around 12:20 a.m. near the intersection of State Route 96 and Rowley Road. Police said Henry Lopez, 82, of Brooklyn was traveling northbound on Route 96 when he crossed into the southbound lane. His 2007 Honda Accord collided head-on with a vehicle driven by Kasey Wesley, 36, from Canandaigua.

Henry Lopez and his passengers, Brooklyn residents Daphne Lopez, 64, and Gladys Villorente, 84, sustained injuries and were transported to Strong Memorial Hospital for further treatment.

Henry Lopez suffered from chest pain and fractures, while Daphne Lopez experienced chest pain.

Gladys Villorente died from her injuries while undergoing treatment at Strong.

Wesley received on-site medical evaluation and was released.

Henry Lopez was cited for failing to keep right.

The investigation is ongoing, police said.
