One dead, one injured in two-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon in Milton Township

MILTON TOWNSHIP – A man is dead and a teenager injured after a two-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon, according to a Wooster Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol news release.

It occurred when a black 2003 Buick Park Avenue driven by 72-year-old Larry Bratcher of Creston drove west on state Route 604 and attempted to cross state Route 57, troopers said.

As Bratcher entered the intersection, a red 2015 Chrysler 200 traveling south on Route 57 driven by 18-year-old Jayvon Dehart of Orrville also entered the intersection. That's when Dehart struck the Buick on the front passenger side, according to the release.

Bratcher was seriously injured and pronounced dead at 6:21 p.m. at Akron City Hospital, according to OSHP. Dehart was transported to the same hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
