One dead, several children injured in Kansas City head-on car crash Saturday morning
A Saturday crash in Kansas City killed one person and left five others injured, including three children, police say.
Before 8 a.m., officers responded to a crash near 75th Street and Flora Avenue, according to a statement from the Kansas City Police Department.
Investigators then determined that a blue Mazda speeding down 75th Street crossed over the double yellow line and hit a silver Toyota Sienna minivan head-on.
Emergency medical services pronounced the driver of the Mazda dead at the scene.
The minivan’s driver, front passenger, and three juvenile passengers were transported to hospitals with serious injuries. Each is in stable condition, police say.
Officers are continuing to investigate the incident.
