26-year-old dead 3 days after being shot on W. 99th Terrace in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City homicide detectives are investigating a Jan. 31 shooting near Willow Creek apartments that allegedly took someone’s life three days after the shots were fired.

Around 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Kansas City police were called to W. 99th Terrace about a shooting. They were directed to a parking garage of an apartment complex. This happened in the area of Willow Creek apartments.

Toxicology report back on 3 Kansas City men found dead outside home

Officials say they found the shooting victim in the parking garage and quickly took him to the hospital in critical condition.

On Saturday, Kansas City police were notified that the victim died from the gunshot wounds. He’s been identified as 26-year-old Niko Gonzales.

Homicide detectives are investigating. Police say they do not have a suspect in custody or any information on who may have allegedly shot the gun.
