One dead after Thursday crash in Bailey County

A New Mexico man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Thursday night in Bailey County.

Texas DPS officials said 39-year-old Orlando Martir-Galindo of Lovington, New Mexico, died at the scene of the crash. Investigators believe he was driving east on Country Road 1048 when he failed to yield at a stop sign.

His vehicle became airborne as it crossed Texas State Highway 214 and rolled over.

Martir-Galindo was pronounced dead at the scene from the injuries received during the crash.
