One dead after vehicle hits tree in Mount Sidney

MOUNT SIDNEY — Virginia State Police said one person was killed Thursday night in a single vehicle crash in Augusta County.

Shortly after 7:30 p.m. in the 900 block of Limestone Road in Mount Sidney, authorities were called to the scene after a vehicle ran off the road and hit a tree, police said.

Few details have been released, but police confirmed one person is dead.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
