Leicester woman ID'd in fatal crash on Route 9 Monday in Leicester
LEICESTER – One woman was killed and two persons injured in a two-car crash on Route 9 Monday evening.
The woman killed in the crash was identified as Dale Hartnett, 71, of Leicester, police say.
The crash, about 6 p.m. near Breezy Gardens, backed up traffic for hours as police investigated.
Three victims were rushed to the hospital; one was later pronounced dead, police said. The two others did not suffer life-threatening injuries, police said.
The crash is under investigation by the Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council.
