One dies after rollover crash south of Humboldt: Sheriff's office

One person died after a single-vehicle rollover crash in rural Minnehaha County on Saturday afternoon, according to the sheriff's office.

A deputy with the Minnehaha County Sheriff's Office discovered the rollover crash at 12:25 p.m. near the intersection of 457th Avenue and 260th Street south of Humboldt. The vehicle had been traveling north on 457th Avenue when the driver lost control and entered the west ditch, the sheriff's office said.

One person was ejected and later died after being transported to a local hospital, the sheriff's office said. The name of the victim hasn't been released, pending family notification.

The Minnehaha County Sheriff's Office is investigating the crash.
