One flown to hospital after crash in Mount Carmel

MOUNT CARMEL, NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — One person was flown to the hospital after crashing into a building in Mount Carmel.

The crash occurred around 7:45 Monday morning at the Carquest Auto Parts on Route 61 near Wilburton Road.

Two-vehicle crash with school van sends three to hospital

Crews at the scene say a tri-axle truck lost its breaks while on Midvalley Hwy/Wilburton Rd and crashed into a vacant van as well as the front of the business while attempting to turn onto Rt 61.

Though there were people inside the building at the time of the crash, no injuries were reported.

The driver of the truck was taken to the hospital via helicopter, their condition is currently unknown.
