Police responded to a welfare check around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday near SE 27 and Santa Fe Avenue, and "one person was found inside a tent with injuries consistent with homicide," according to officials.

The victim's name is being withheld pending notification of family, police said. No arrests had been made.

Last month, another homicide victim was found at a different area homeless camp. The victim, identified by police as Jeff Skrivanek, was found at a camp near N Western Avenue and the John Kilpatrick Service Road.

In that case, police arrested 20-year-old James Guillory and 18-year-old Sierra McCoy-Griffen. Both were charged Sept. 6 and remain in custody in the Oklahoma County jail awaiting trial.
