One hurt in two-car rollover DUI crash on state Highway 14 in Vancouver

Jun. 6—One person was injured early Sunday in a two-car rollover DUI crash on state Highway 14 in Vancouver, according to the Washington State Patrol.

A State Patrol bulletin said Craig A. Johnson, 24, of Vancouver was driving a 2008 Nissan Altima east on the freeway behind a 2015 Honda Fit driven by Maria M. Gomez Pineda, 50, of Vancouver when his car struck hers, causing it to overturn.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Gomez Pineda was injured and transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, according to the bulletin. It said Johnson was not injured but is under investigation for possible charges.

The State Patrol said the crash was caused by speeding, and that drugs or alcohol were involved.
