One injured, flown to Grant Med Center

COSHOCTON -- One person was injured and flown to Grant Medical Center after a one-vehicle crash on Friday night.

The Coshocton County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call at 10:25 p.m. Friday in reference to a possible injury accident in the 50000 block County Road 16 in Lafayette Township. Upon arrival of emergency personnel, it was found Velma A. Wilson (54 year old female of Coshocton) was traveling westbound on CR 16 when she lost control of the vehicle.

Wilson went left of center, striking a guardrail and went over the guard rail striking a tree. Wilson was taken from the scene by CCEMS to Coshocton Regional Medical Center, where she was then flown by Med flight to Grant Medical Center.

Wilson’s condition is unknown at this time. This incident remains under investigation. Assisting at the scene was West Lafayette Police Department, Coshocton City Fire, West Lafayette Fire Department, Coshocton County EMS, and Prince’s Wrecker Service.
