One injured in Miami Lakes when Mustang crashes into tree
A person was injured and taken to a hospital after crashing into a tree in Miami Lakes Saturday afternoon.
At 3:13 p.m., Miami-Dade Fire Rescue got a call reporting a car crash at 154th Street between 54th Avenue and 87th Avenue. Fire Rescue said one person was airlifted to a local hospital.
On Twitter, @emsssxemsss posted a picture of the crash. A white Mustang had slammed into a tree with severe damage to its passenger side. In a reply the Twitter user said that an officer told them the Mustang was racing with two other drivers.

Another Twitter user said that the driver of the Mustang was not racing but lost control of his car while pulling out of a nearby Chipotle.
Miami-Dade police did not immediately respond. It is not clear if the Mustang was involved in street racing or how many people were in the car when it crashed.
