One injured in Thursday crash near Millersburg

Nov. 10—MILLERSBURG — One person was injured in a semi-truck versus buggy crash which took place less than a mile north of Millersburg Thursday afternoon.

James Horrocks, 40, Buchanan, Michigan, was driving west on C.R. 40 east of Ind. 13 at about 3:18 p.m. in a 2022 International tractor trailer when he drove through a stop sign and collided with a buggy driven by Jerry Miller, 40, Goshen, who was traveling north on Ind. 13, according to an Elkhart County Sheriff's Office news release.

Horrocks' vehicle suffered minor damage to the front end, and the buggy, having been flipped over, suffered moderate damage to the passenger side.

Josephine Miller, 40, a passenger in the buggy, suffered a laceration to the head and was transported via Samaritan for further treatment.

Horrocks was cited for disregarding stop sign resulting in bodily injury, the release added.
