One killed in crash on I-85 N near I-485: NCDOT

CABARRUS COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — One person has died following a crash on the county line, the Mecklenburg EMS Agency (Medic) confirmed.

NCDOT says it happened around 2:25 p.m. Saturday on I-85 northbound near mile marker 48.

Three lanes were closed, but they are expected to be reopened by 4 p.m.

Officials have not said what led up to the incident. Medic from Mecklenburg County and NCSHP Troopers from Cabarrus County both responded.
