One killed in Sequoyah County motorcycle crash

VIAN, Okla. (KNWA/KFTA) — A Sallisaw man is dead after a motorcycle crash in Vian on Friday night, according to a crash report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The report says Jonathan Walters, 41, was traveling east on Interstate 40 near mile marker 295 around 8:30 p.m. on a 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle when he lost control on a curve, left the roadway and struck a cable barrier.

One dead, two injured in Franklin County crash

Walters was taken to a Sallisaw hospital with multiple injuries where he later died.

Conditions were clear and dry at the time of the accident, according to the report.

OHP says the cause of the collision is under investigation.
