LOS ANGELES, Aug 2 (Reuters) - One person was killed and two others hurt on Friday when a cliff overlooking a Southern California beach collapsed onto them, local officials said.
First responders were at the scene of the incident, near a lifeguard tower, assisting in rescue efforts, the city of Encinitas said on Twitter. No further details were immediately available
"One person is confirmed dead and people have been injured. More details later," the city said in a Tweet. Encinitas is a beach community along the California coast north of San Diego.
