One man dead, another facing murder charge after shooting on Columbus' Southeast Side
One man is dead and another arrested after a shooting Friday night in Southeast Columbus.
Police responded Friday evening to reports of a disturbance on the 2800 block of Landon Drive, in the Berwick neighborhood. As they responded to the call, it was upgraded to a shooting. Police arrived at the scene to find Michael A. Holland, 41, suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers rendered first aid until Columbus medics arrived.
The paramedics transported Holland to a local hospital, where he died of his injuries at 6:28 p.m., police said.
Columbus police arrested Thomas L. Lacey III, 21, of the Southeast Side, at the scene. He remains at the Franklin County Jail on a murder charge and is expected to appear Monday in Franklin County Municipal Court.
