One man dead, another wounded after Lindenwold shooting

LINDENWOLD - One man is dead and another is wounded after a shooting here Friday, authorities say.

Police responding to 911 calls about gunfire found Alvin Redd, 25, lying wounded on the 400 block of West Park Avenue around 8:10 p.m., said the Camden County Prosecutor's Office.

Redd, a Lindenwold resident, was pronounced dead about 40 minutes later at Jefferson Hospital-Stratford.

Social-media posts mourning Redd's death indicated the victim as a Lindenwold High School graduate and the father of three.

"Please keep his family in your prayers especially his siblings and his 3 beautiful young children," said a post with multiple heart emojis from the Facebook account of Bree Lee.

"Sending out so much love," Lee added.

A second victim, identified only as a 29-year-old Camden man, was injured in the shooting. He later arrived at the Stratford hospital for treatment, the prosecutor's office said.

An investigation was underway, but no arrests have been announced.

Anyone with information is asked to call Prosecutor's Detective Kevin Courtney at 856-225-8632 or Lindenwold Police Detective Juan Caceres at 856-784-7566, extension 419.
