"A lot of people who come into the coffee shop don't event know that it's also a nonprofit that funds transitional housing to locals in Bay County," said Kia Bennett, head manager of The Pour. "To a lot, it's just a cool, cozy coffee shop, but it's so much more than that."

Bennett noted The Ark currently houses about 120 people, many of whom were either recently released from jail or are recovering from addiction.

What food, drinks is The Pour known for?

Apart from its coffee, Bennett said The Pour is most known for its cinnamon rolls, which she described as being "out of this world."

The shop also offers a "secret latte" dubbed "the Teddy Roosevelt," which boasts honey, vanilla and cinnamon flavors.

"It was a special a few years ago, and we still always get people coming in just kind of hearing about it," Bennett said. "Obviously, it pairs wonderful with our cinnamon rolls."

What are Bennett's thoughts on The Pour making Yelp's list?

While Bennett did not know until talking with the News Herald that The Pour made Yelp's list, she hoped the publicity would help more people learn about the coffee shop and it's mission.

"I'm amazed, and I'm shocked," she said. "I think it's such a cool blessing. It's kind of blowing my mind a bit. I think that's very, very cool, and I just think it's well deserved because this spot is very, very special, and I don't think it's just the coffee that makes it great.

"I know we serve good coffee, good baked goods and we always have smiling faces, but it's seriously so much more than that."
