One person critically injured by train in South Austin
One person was critically injured on Saturday morning after being struck by a train in South Austin, according to the Austin-Travis County EMS.
At 10:04 a.m., the Austin fire and police departments along with EMS responded to an incident near South Lamar Boulevard and Treadwell Street.
EMS declared a trauma alert and worked to treat and extract the adult person from the railroad.

The person was transported to Dell Seton Medical Center with critical life-threatening injuries.
Officials said travelers can expect delays in the area due to railroad crossings being blocked south of the location.
