One person is dead following a Sunday crash into a Lincoln County creek

BRADLEY − One person is dead after being pulled from a vehicle that became submerged in a Lincoln County creek Sunday.

At 7:23 p.m. Sunday, a 911 caller reported a one-vehicle crash on Lincoln County S, south of Crass Road in the town of Bradley, about six miles north of Tomahawk, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office. The caller reported the vehicle had flipped over and become submerged in the Skanawan Creek and the driver was still inside.

Lincoln County deputies, a Tomahawk Police Department officer, the Tomahawk Fire Department and Tomahawk Ambulance responded to the scene, according to the Sheriff's Office.

The first deputy who arrived on scene was unable to find the driver, but a short time later emergency personnel pulled the driver from the vehicle and attempted lifesaving measures, according to the Sheriff's Office. When the Tomahawk Ambulance arrive on scene it was determine the driver had died, according to the Sheriff's Office.

It appears the victim was going north on Lincoln County S when the vehicle left the road, rolling over and entering Skanawan Creek, according to the Sheriff's Office. It is unknown how long the vehicle had been in the creek before the caller saw it.
